Qlikview Developer
Candidate with strong analytical and programming skills to create reports and dashboard in Qlikview application and ability to work in a fast pace development environment. This Developer will be responsible for developing, testing and implementing new reports/dashboards or modifying existing ones with data from multiple sources.
YEARS EXPERIENCE: 4 years in Business Intelligence and reporting space with 2 years in Qlikview.
DEGREE STRONGLY PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
• Good oral and written communication, work in a team environment and effectively interact with business users, good problem-solving skills and customer support skills. Good documentation skills. Enthusiastic to learn new systems and take responsibilities.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, gather additional requirements as needed, meet and coordinate tasks with business leads to deliver Qlikview reports.
• Knowledge of reporting tool language Qlikview to create QVD files, , Qlikview components like distribution server, Publisher, QlikView sheet objects, understanding of available functions and properties, Qlikview Macro language, Set Analysis and QlikView mobile application development preferred. Knowledge of creating PDF push reports and setup email distribution on QlikView Publisher 9.
• Knowledge of creating scripts to extract data from data source and create automatic jobs to refresh Qlikview data files. Ability to analyze mainframe flat files and other source files like csv, xls and recreate the data into a relational database.
• Knowledge of database structures (SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle) and strong SQL scripting.
• Ability to understand and learn Windows server 2003 ODBC connections to database sources, Windows console batch jobs and MS-DOS batch commands.
• Knowledge in JavaScript, VBScript and web technology.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
• Experience and knowledge of software development process and standards
• Knowledge of other BI tools like WebFOCUS preferred.
• Experience working with ETL tools for data loads and knowledge of data warehouse will be a plus.
