Designation: Software Engineer -MSBI Developer

 

Experience: 3+ years

Work Location: Tanzania (Africa)

Role Description – BI Specialist: 

• Strategically design and implement BI software and systems including integration with databases and data warehouses
• Selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. Ensure high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing
• Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs
• Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions
• Automate ETL and processes for keeping data up to date.
• Lead integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications
• Produce ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system
• Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments
• Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
• Mentor and/or provide leadership to other members of the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

The Applicant must be proficient in the following:

• Microsoft Office Skills
• Programming Skills
• Design of Data Models with SQL Analysis Services
• SQL Server database Engine
• Microsoft SQL Server integration services
• Data Structures and algorithms
• Three years of working experience in Business Intelligence projects is a minimum requirement.
