Motorola Mobility's Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS) products brand named Broadband Service Router (BSR) is one of the major product lines of the Access Networks business unit. The BSR product family consists of pizza box to chassis based systems serving the needs of a variety of Multi System Operators spread across the markets in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia. The India team of the  Network Infrastructure Business is involved in developing, testing and sustaining software releases for the BSR router series. Skill Set Requirements
C and C++ with Sybase or DB Design experience like: (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase)

Job DescriptionMotorola Mobility's Home business is a leader in the industry's transformation to all-IP video networks with unique solutions that enable rich media experiences across any screen. Its portfolio includes video and voice and data solutions to lead the way for greater convergence than ever  before. The Home business products include RF and IP digital video set top  boxes, video, voice and data gateways and modems, converged experience devices like Motorola Televation, video infrastructure, and broadband access solutions. Motorola Mobility is the largest provider of cable TV set top boxes in the US. 
This position is for software development for the Conditional Access Solutions (CAS) within the video infrastructure suite of products. Conditional access provides secured access control for digital video distribution systems. CAS products support functions such as pay per view, subscription authorizations, interactive applications, and support for various subscriber terminals including digital terminal adapters (DTAs).
The position is targeted for software development in some of the key CAS products such as DACRADD and CASMR. Expected work includes design, implementation, and testing of new features in C and C++. Database access is primarily via embedded SQL. The developer is expected to identify and design DB changes (schema, stored procedures, triggers, DB related scripts, etc.) required to support new features working together with the DBA. They should troubleshoot functional and performance issues spanning C/C++ code and the DB, work together with the product owner, subject matter experts, architects, UI developers, and the DBAs to meet end-to-end feature requirements, and work with the DBA for any database migration effort in the long term. It may be noted that this is not a DBA role  - but a C/C++ development role with a strong focus on DB interaction.
