Designation: Sr. Software Engineer / Software Engineer - BI Developer
Experience: 3+ years
Work Location: Tanzania (Africa)

Role Description - BI Specialist:
Strategically design and implement BI software and systems including integration with databases and data warehouses
Selecting, blueprinting, gathering requirements, designing, and rolling out BI solutions to end users. Ensure high levels of BI availability through support functions and in-depth testing
Design, code, test, and document all new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs
Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions
Automate ETL and processes for keeping data up to date.
Lead integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications
Produce ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system
Act as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments
Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
Mentor and/or provide leadership to other members of the team.
Required Skills and Experience:
The Applicant must be proficient in the following:
Microsoft Office Skills
Programming Skills
Design of Data Models with SQL Analysis Services
SQL Server database Engine
Microsoft SQL Server integration services
Data Structures and algorithms
Three years of working experience in Business Intelligence projects is a minimum requirement.
